Prescott Valley, AZ, April 1, 2024: In the early hours of Monday, a massive fire erupted at a construction site located on the south side of Florentine Rd. at Main Street in Prescott Valley. The fire, which started around 1:15 AM, completely engulfed the 685,000-square-foot building/parking lot structure under construction, resulting in a total loss.

No injuries have been reported among fire personnel, police officers, or civilians. Evacuations were carried out for buildings A, B, C, and N at the Talking Glass Apartments. Road closures included Florentine Rd., Lake Valley Rd., and Main Street.

Currently, fire crews and police remain on the scene, working to suppress the fire. For residents, normal commute routes along State Route 69, State Route 89A, Glassford Hill Rd., Viewpoint Dr., and Robert Rd. are open.

Residents of buildings C and N at Talking Glass Apartments, as well as Building B, are now allowed to return to their apartments. However, they can only access the complex through the east entrance off of Lake Valley Road south of Florentine.
