December is indeed the most wonderful time of the year. Unlike other cities in Arizona, Prescott’s fine weather has deemed it the state’s go to holiday destination for the Christmas holiday season. This is the sole reason why Prescott is known as the Christmas City of Arizona. 

After the Thanksgiving holiday passes, you immediately get the cheerful feeling of Christmas surrounding the city. The city comes to life with magnificent lights and gorgeous decorations spread throughout the city limits. Snow starts to envelop the area and the atmosphere just becomes merry. 

For the whole month of December, The Prescott Resort and Conference Center brings forth the World’s Largest Gingerbread Village. We are left in awe by such beautiful structures of over a thousand unique structures in gingerbread shapes which are meticulously handcrafted and are displayed in a whimsical village all within the resort. The mood hits a little differently when you get a feel of the smell and the overall holiday spirit magnified in the whole resort. 

The Gingerbread Village is open 7 days a week for the whole month. Located at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center (1500 E State Route 69, Prescott). This event serves as a fundraiser for Yavapai Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
